Further Clarification on Limited Lifetime Paint Warranties
ATC is proud to offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on our products and we strive to stand behind our warranty to the best of our ability. While we offer a limited lifetime warranty, it is the responsibility of the consumer to provide general maintenance to their truck cover and to notify their authorized ATC Dealer of any paint defects in a timely fashion. Here are some examples of what is covered under warranty and what is not covered under warranty.
Covered Under Warranty
Picture #1: In the picture you will notice the paint is just starting to fade and has a milky look to it. This is when the consumer should be notifying their authorized ATC Dealer that they have a paint issue. This would be considered a warranty claim.
Picture #2: This is what happens once the clear coat has started peeling. When it is in small, controlled areas, this is still early on and is easily repairable. This would be considered a warranty claim.
Not Covered Under Warranty
Picture #3: The condition of this product would be a non-warranty claim. This would be what our warranty refers to as “neglect”. The initial stages of the paint peeling (as shown above) have been ignored and resulted in the covers clear being almost completely gone. A unit in this condition can still be repaired however due to the extreme breakdown of the finish the repainted cover will not have the same appearance as a brand new one. Repair of this cover will result in a charge to the authorized ATC Dealer.
